The Demon's Surrender US Cover!

Here is the cover of The Demon's Surrender! It is my very favourite of the three US covers. Behold - The Alan Cover!

It's exciting to have a whole set of covers! A trilogy set! I hope you like it.

I said it before and I said it again but...

...um, hi, gorgeous. (And I'm not normally a ginger or an Alan--sorry!--fan.)

*squints* Although, aside from the incorrect co-author attribution (James Porto) on the Kindle edition, I can't quite tell the difference between this cover and the one on Amazon? *squints harder*

The one on amazon is all pink, let us not speak of it, it was an awful mistake!

Our quest for a hot redhead was Epic, let me tell you.

Awesome! Lots of impact, with the super-saturated fiery tones and the dramatic look-to-the-distance-off-camera. I really love the silhouetted skyline in the background; I'm always really charmed when books are so sure about where they're set. It's so recognizably London.

And, y'know, hot boy. That sure doesn't hurt.

I know, I was so pleased to see it! I kept asking for signs it was urban with these covers, possibly since Americans think England = countryside? But these books are so, so London and Exetery. And Surrender is entirely London: one of my songs writing it was London Calling.

That isn't how I imagined him at all, but I really like this cover anyway. I looove the sky especially.

Hiiiiii, baby boy. Be just that pretty and just that badass forever, okay?

Sweet! I picture him as not looking so obviously bad-ass or conventionally handsome. But as a cover, it's a grabber.

ETA: Wait, wasn't Sin supposed to be on the cover? Or is that the UK edition?

I think of this as a snapshot of the revealed badassness: when he actually has a weapon in hand, and has taken off his usual button-down shirt. (There's a bit in Covenant where Mae realises said shirt is camouflage. Because I love lying with costumes!)

Sin is on the cover of Surrender in the UK: Sin is on the cover of Covenant in the US, so her getting two covers in the series would be just hogging the whole show. ;)

this proofs that gingers do have souls xD

Team Alan all that way (and Team Jamie but this is about Alan)

Oh man, I love this! I know I said how keen I was on the UK covers having the PoV characters... but now I'm sad I'm not getting an Alan!cover. (But then, I'm also sad we never got an Alan!book, so yeah.)

I think this one's my favorite too (but Alan's my favorite, so I'm a little biased there). Pretty! Love the sky. (And the bow. Picking up a new weapon, Alan?)

Sin teaches him to use one in Surrender, yes. Alan loves him some long-range weaponry. ;)

Oh my goodness, Alan is quite foxy! I think it's my favorite of the US covers as well. I love the skyline in the back and the colors.

I was so thrilled to get a bridge in the US covers too. Every one of the books has a different London bridge in it (because I love me some thematic architecture) and now bridges represent!

Helloooo, Alan.

Um. Yes. Hot. Also, you know, beautifully designed, with all the orange (good for those of us with the original US hardback edition), and the city silhouette and what-have-you.

Doubly exciting for me because my hardcover of Covenant only arrived two weeks ago, so I'm not over its pretty-pretty-prettiness yet, either. (I ordered it in March, and our US supplier lost my order. Gah. Thank goodness I had the pretty UK paperback on order too, and so didn't have to wait until now to read it.)

Original hardback edition of Lexicon, I meant where I was drivelling on about the orange. Sorry, was distracted by the pretty.
