As aforesaid, these are events for Cassandra Clare, and I will be there for the purpose of teasing the redheaded moppet asking her very appropriate and insightful questions. Ahem. But I will be there, should you a) wish me to ask Cassie an appropriate and insightful question for you! b) want me to sign something or c) wish to collect the first few chapters of Unspoken, which I will be giving out.

For my edits of Unspoken are handed in, which is a very pleasing thing! Never has my ass been so kicked as regards edits, which is also a very pleasing thing, because with luck it means the product will be commensurately awesome. And it means I feel a step closer to getting the book to you all. I am now in the midst of rewriting bits of the sequel, Unbound, to make it fit for my editor's eyes, and I am going to start blogging on Gothics and Lady Sleuths soon. I am so freaking excited for people to meet Kami and Jared and Angela and Holly and Ash. I cannot even say.

Why no SRB subtitle for
'writing for kids is easy'?

Re: Why no SRB subtitle for
I guess because it would just be 'Ha!' and that is not that witty. ;)

This is cosmic injustice... I'm Swiss but I'll be in Dublin from the 18th to the 21rst. So right in the middle between your appearances :(
*heavysigh* Oh well. Is there maybe some way to pick up a chapter sample after the event on the 15th/16th? Maybe at a local bookstore or something? I'm reaaaally curious about Unspoken ^^ (and it would soothe my heartache at missing two of my fav. authors by mere days)

I am afraid not, as it's not any official like thing but just stuff I will be bringing in my capacious purse. But I am extremely thankful you would like to, and very happy you are curious about Unspoken!

Of all the years to not plan a trip to London/Dublin...*big sigh*

That's okay - I've spoken to my local kids' book store to approach your people about getting you over to Vancouver somehow, and I've been urging other librarians who like your books to do the same. With any luck, one day I'll get to see you in my own hometown!

That is extremely nice of you, and I would love to if it all falls out nicely. ;) I love Vancouver.

OMG FOYLE's. It is in my diary and I am going to beg for some time off. So I just caught up on the blog posts and I hope you do blog more. I have always loved your posts they have made me laugh or think. I have been reading them for well...um I don't want to say nearly a decade but that is probably about right.

Also I love your books too but I never thought being personally offended by anything you say or write. People have a difference of opinion and it can lead to an interesting debate or a new outlook.

YAY for tours

Awesome. ;) Nearly a decade it probably is... I am horrified to think of the blithering I did here when I was eighteen. Fortunately the poems about being sad was when I was fourteen!

Come back to Scotland! We love you too and want our books signed! Also my family live in both those places and I do not and that is not fair.

I've read both you and Peader O'G.

I'd like to make the national library if I can get out of work early enough.

I am afraid I am still at work, and probably won't be finished until after 7pm when your talk is finished.

I feel like I stood you guys up now.

I am freaking excited to meet Kami and Jared and Angela and Holly and Ash!

Will you be posting snippets or character bios or short stories/cookies for this book?

(And b/c I am having trouble letting go, any chance of a Demon's story this Christmas? I apologize if you are tired of being asked that... I simply loved those characters and don't want to say goodbye.)
