But that is not to be!

I am going to be a guest at Infinitus 2010, a gigantic Harry Potter convention being held in Orlando, Florida from July 15-18. I'll be on a panel for Friday's Keynote Luncheon with Naomi Novik, RJ Anderson, Ali Wilgus, Peg Kerr and Karen Healey, discussing Becoming a Professional Writer Lady.

And my scheduling looks somewhat like this.

FRIDAY Noon - Our Fancy Luncheon, in the Pacifica 6 Room, where everyone else will talk intelligently and I will blither about my Life Experiences.

FRIDAY directly after lunch - Everyone is signing in the Vendor Room until at least 2:30 - feel free to stay longer.

SATURDAY 11 - Noon in Banda Sea Room

Three authors for the price of one!

Karen Healey, RJ Anderson and your humble servant will be doing readings from our novels, and also giving away prizes, and also doing a big Q&A so that any questions that don't get answered on Friday/if you can't make it Friday, you will still have all the answers in the world! So many answers, we have.

Also, Embarrassing Stories. Maybe that's just me.

SATURDAY Noon - 12:30 - Karen, Rebecca and Sarah are signing in the Vendor Room

So - looking forward, somewhat nervously, to this! I have not been to Florida since I was about twelve, when my parents decided swimming with sharks would be a way more hardcore activity than swimming with lousy dolphins.

But I should save up my embarrassing stories, obviously...

Another reason for me to be rather jealous I am not living in the US. They get Harry Potter World and now this? Damn my Englishness, although not really of course, because I can pretend to have some odd traditions. : )

This sounds so epic. I wish you all the greatest time.

Also, you have better bacon.

*Learned this at a Farmer's Market this past weekend*

As a vegetarian I cannot prove this, but I shall pass the message along to my nation at our next meeting. :) I do think our chocolate and sweets are generally better though, but that could just be what I'm used to. :)
